We live just outside Croydon, South London. Which is rather suburban, as well as being a bit short on space. We have a roughly 5m squared garden, which houses a shed, chicken coop, and three vegetable beds.
We keep three chickens, all of the Gingernut Ranger variety - they are hardy, not prone to broodyness, and lay one egg every day, each, for most of the year.
Vegetable-wise, we rotate the beds and try to grow something different every year. Successes so far have been potatoes (always good), tomatoes, sprouting broccoli (after the first year) and courgettes (my god).
